Luc Montagnier, a French virologist presented a new method of detecting viral infections at a recent international conference. He told the conference that solutions containing the DNA of pathogenic bacteria and viruses “could emit low frequency radio waves” that induced surrounding water molecules to become arranged into “nanostructures”. These water molecules could also emit radio waves.

He suggested that this probably occured due to WATER MEMORY. Solutions massively diluted to the point where DNA has effectively vanished still emitted radio waves.

Homeopaths believe that in the process of making a Homeopathic medicine a “water memory” occurs. Skeptics and many others currently attack Homeopathy as being unscientific. These findings by Montagnier and other people who work in this field show that Homeopath’s were possibly right all along!

Luc Montagnier was awarded the Nobel prize in 2008 for his research carried out in the 1980’s that confirmed the link between HIV and AIDS. The breakthrough opened the way to new treatments that have extended the lives of millions of people.

The good news is that Homeopathy will continue to receive government funding and availability in the UK via the NHS system.

In Dr Luc’s opinion there is no one cause of Autism but a range of factors that can predispose a child. One factor is genetics. Homeopathy has been teaching since its beginnings (early 1800’s) about genetics and the role it has to play in diseases - however we use the word Miasm instead. A child will inherit miasm’s from both sides of the family. Certain events can trigger a particular miasm and one of these we believe may be vaccination. A child will only be affected by vaccination however if the ‘terrain’ was susceptible. Other triggers can be shock, grief and puberty and so on. Therefore Homeopaths know that for each disease that occurs in the world - there will be more than one trigger.  A Homeopaths job is to treat miasm’s to reduce the tendency to chronic disease.

Over the three days we learned about the many facets of Autistic Spectrum Disorders and their treatment. Treatment takes time and the cooperation of the parents. Too many drugs, harsh diets and large regimes of supplements can be a hindrance to treatment and in cases reverse good results already obtained.

Treatment with Homeopathy is individualised. There is no magic remedy that treats all cases of Autism - each child must be treated according to their own unique physical, mental and emotional characteristics. 

Once again I came away from Dr Luc’s seminar exhilarated at more fresh knowledge gained and the joy of knowing that Homeopathy is effective in treating children who suffer from Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Dr Luc has treated over 600 Autistic children in the past two years and his results bare witness to this fact!

You may need to change cleaning products and most alternatives can be found in the local supermarket. Choose natural creams to apply to the skin such as Calendula cream or ointment for healing and Urtica cream for itching. There are many topical options in health food stores and it takes trial and error to find the cream that works for you or your child. Emulsifying ointment should be used to wash with instead of soap. Putting oats in muslin or an old nylon stocking and putting it under the running tap in the bath can relieve itching. It is important to allow sweating in order to release toxins from the body. Cotton should be worn as often as possible as synthetic material can aggravate eczema.

A good wholefood diet with plenty of Essential Fatty Acids are needed for healthy skin function. Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids in particular are needed as they affect prostaglandins thus reducing inflammation. A good example of Omega 3 is Fish oils. For vegetarians Flaxseed oil is a good alternative. Other nutrients which are needed to help eczema are Vitamin A, Vitamin B complex, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Zinc.

When a person has a skin problem its always wise to look at the digestion. Many times eczema has been cured by aiding the digestion with Probiotics and Digestive Enzymes.

To see effective change one must be on a diet change and supplements for at least 3 - 6 months. Generally Homeopathy needs around the same amount of time, although cure can occur much quicker in some individuals.

It is important to let the body sweat to eliminate toxins and cotton should be worn as often as possible. Stress can trigger inflammation so self help measures should be taken such as meditation if it is a cause. Use emulsifying ointment from the Chemist in the bath rather than soap which dries out the skin.

The Health Minister, the Rt Hon Mike O’Brien QC MP, told the Science and Technology select committee that there was no justification for cutting funding for homeopathy on the NHS and that a significant number of people believe it works.

Mr O’Brien said cutting the funding would be “illiberal” and “a denial of personal choice” and that there is “a significant body of clinicians who take a view that [homeopathy] works”. He told the committee that there was “justification for more research” in homeopathy.

He reiterated that it is up to individual clinicians to decide on the best treatment for their patients and that it was not his job to tell GPs whether or not to prescribe homeopathy. He also clarified that the spend on homeopathic medicines in the NHS is only £152,000, from a total NHS annual drugs budget of £11 billion

CONTEXT: This research aimed at verifying the efficacy of homeopathic treatments by plant-based bioassays, which may be suitable for basic research, because they lack placebo effects and provide large datasets for statistical analyses. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of homeopathic treatments of arsenic trioxide (As2O3) on tobacco plants subjected to tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) inoculation as biotic stress. DESIGN: Blind, randomized experiment using tobacco leaf disks. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Tobacco plants (Nicotiana tabacum L. cultivar Samsun) carrying the TMV resistance gene N. TMV inoculated leaf disks were floated for 3 days in the following: Distilled water (control). H2O 5 and 45 decimal and centesimal potencies. As2O3 5 and 45 decimal and centesimal potencies. The main outcome measures is the number of hypersensitive lesions observed in a leaf disk. RESULTS: Homeopathic treatments of arsenic induce two effects on the plant: (i) increased resistance to TMV; (ii) decrease variability between experiments (system variability). CONCLUSIONS: In this experimental model two actions of homeopathic treatment were detected: decrease in system variability and enhancement of the natural tendency of the system towards an ‘equilibrium point’.
